mother ****er!
I was on my way to work not even listening to it loud and it cut out....i got to work, popped my trunk and it's rattling from inside the box....bad, pretty sure it's blown. I'm going to contact infinity cuz the sub is literally less than 3 months old only problem is i bought it off ebay, but it was sealed in the box when i got it, think they will honor the warranty?
They arent going to warranty a sub bought off ebay. Most companies won't warranty anything you buy online. Your best bet is to just tell them you bought it from a store, and you lost the receipt, and hope they believe you.
Last time I had this much fun some furniture got broken!

yea, i had to send it back to them, sux too, cuz i live in phoenix about 15-20 miles away from the warehouse they told me to ship it to. I looked up the warehouses number and both were disconnected so i had to pay $10.00 to ship it across town lol

I got the sub in today, and it's brand spankin new and is in soooo much better shape than the ebay one, where the cone connects to the spider is perfect where the other one was little shakey...i haven't put it in yet, but i will tomorrow, i'm really lookin forward to see how it sounds cuz i put new 6.5s in my kick panels and amped them, then another thing i'm doin tomorrow is takin out my sony 6x9s (:barf: ) and putting some infinity 6.5s in their place, so wish me luck!

well i put the new sub in, i cant find the ****ing adapter for the 6x9s to 6.5s so thats gets to get put on for another day, at first the sub sounded like **** then it cut out, so the 4 letter words started flying then i realized that i used banana plugs for the wires coming from the box to the first voice coil and they fell off (i had to use banana plug cuz the wires going from voice coil to voice coil are 8awg, and so is the leads from the box) so i pulled the sub back out, took the bana plugs off, then out of shear anger i stomped on, peed, yelled at, drove over, talked down to, and burned them. then put the sub back in without the banana plugs, and it sounds great lol.
Usafcushman, i trust what you have to say about sq so is bass boost (50hz) a good thing or bad thing? i think it's prolly a bad thing cuz when i think of sq, i think of the same db level accross the frequency range, right? my amp has 6db and 12 db boost btw, and of course it's off right now.

for your particular application, i'd leave it off... anyone should feel free to correct me if i'm wrong (i'm more of a brain-rattling SPL guy myself), but i wouldn't imagine a sealed 10" driver would have very good SQ at anything below 80hz, and that may even be pushing it... but if you think it sounds better, having it on is not gonna hurt anything, unless you overexert your sub... and hell, even if you fry it, it's been proven that your warranty kicks ***... just don't blame me

lol thanks man, i'm gonna play with the tuning a little more, on the sheet that comes with the sub it says the crossover frequency is 150 hz, but the excursion and frequency responces graphs go well past 300, so 150 seems a little low dont u think? it's a kappa perfect 12.1d btw
