Antenna Question
Antenna Question
I am putting a Cobra CB radio in my car and I bought an antenna kit that uses the factory in glass antenna. Has anyone ever seen a kit like this that uses the stock antenna or know how you would hook it up?
DON'T HOOK IT UP TO YOUR FACTORY ANTENNA!!! THAT'S NOT SMART!!! A factory antennna is built for RECIEVE ONLY!!! Meaning that you are recieving the signals in the air only. However, a CB radio transmits as well. You need a proper antenna for a CB radio. I dunno about your ride but I don't even have a whip antenna, its the ones that are built into the rear windshield. These are in NO WAY CAPABLE of handling the power of a CB radio.
