Would two twelves be better?

Would two 12" Cerwin Vegas be better, neccessarily, than two 10's of the same brand and RMS output?

Are Pheonix Gold amps the way to go, or would Pioneer, MTX, or Power A. be better choices?

i personally like 10's best.. they sound the crispest, clearest, n up most mmMMmmest... 12's are just too big.. makes my stomach feel like i've been on a rollercoaster for the past 3hours.. but this is all IMO..

10"s are great. I am stuck between getting 2 10"s or 1 12". I will be a decision I make at the last minute. the right 12" will sound just as tight as a 10" and will hit some lower notes too.

I'm either going to go with the 2 10's, then, or one twelve Kicker solobaric.

well for the price of 2 decent 10's you can get 1 awesome 12.. the 12 will play just as tight.. play lower..and possibly just as loud pending the setup.. My fist system.I was gonna get 2 10" JL 10W3's.. I Instead got a single 12" Eclipse alum.. It was the best car audio decision I've ever made ..

yeah 10's just don't cut it for the low end. and to make bass you need to move air. the more surface area you have the more air you can move. so if your comparing the same exact subs just diff sizes look at it this way. 2- 10's = 157 1- 12 = 113 2- 12's = 226 and 1- 15 = 177 square inches of surface area to move air. not exactly cause you loose alot with the surround. and don't be fooled by cheap subs with huge surrounds. those only help if the sub can really move that far in and out. alot of company's are doing it just for looks to get you to buy there sub and all it really does is steal surface area. so don't stray from a sub with a small surround cause that my be all it needs to reach its max. and also most companies use the same magnet on each sub in the same line so the rms power shouldn't really matter cause the magnet is prob the same on both subs. maybe not but company's with alot of different lines do it. check out the diff. on the ones u r comparing.
