stock radio code?
stock radio code?
i'm not sure if this post goes in this forum?
i recently got a used 2003 civic coupe ex.
i was looking through the manual and it says every time you disconnect the battery you have to enter a code to deactivate the anti theft on the radio? i don't have this code.
i plan on getting a weaponr secret intake soon which will require me to disconnect my battery...
thanks in advance!

ok if you want the code this is what you do. when the car is on press and hold 1&6 then it will give you two different numbers on will be with a U (not sure on the letter) followed with 4 numbers and then a second series that starts with a L (not sure again on the letter) after you write those down go to the dealer and ask them to get you the code for the deck. make sure you dont pay them tho because they tried pulling it stunt on me by trying to make me pay.

oh you should definately reset the ecu after intake install, doesn't mean you pull out the battery.

PCM / ECU Reset and Idle Learn
1. start the car and drive it until the engine is at full operating temperature.
2. Park the car, turn off the engine, and pop the hood. Locate the fuse box and lift up the top cover. Using the supplied fuse puller, remove the FI ECU fuse for at least 10 seconds.
3. Replace the fuse and close the box. Make sure that all electronics and accessories are in the off position. Start the car and let it idle for 10 minutes with the hood closed. Do not press on the gas or turn on any accessories during this time.
4. After 10 minutes, turn off the car. The idle speed should now be set. Start the car and go drive like you normally would so the PCM can relearn the fuel maps.

It's easier to go into
(<--click!), register your car (you need your VIN for that, which is on the left side of the dash, can be seen from outside) and log in. When you do, click on My Civic (lower right), and you should be able to see a list to your right that looks sort of like this:
VIN: ***EM2***4******* (those numbers I did not block are the chassis number and year of fabrication... just FYI)
Trim: VP 5 Speed Manual
Ext. Color: Rallye Red
Int. Color: Black
Radio Code: ***** (this is what you want to input on the radio)
Year Purchased: 2004
Hope this helps.
[EDIT] Welcome to the forums, by the way!

You should get into contact with the previous owner and ask him to do the Honda Owner Link thing and get the code

When you do the 1+6 number trick, if nothing shows up, turn the radio off..........then press 1+6 and turn the radio on; it'll give you the code then..at least that's how it worked for me, I have an 03 ex coupe and had the same problem. Good luck.
