I couldn't find any reference on JL's site for the v1, but these are the v2 specs.

It looks like the v2 has an "optimum" RMS power handling of 150W...hope that helps a little!

i believe it is dual 4 ohm
EDIT: dual 2 ohm voice coil and the rms is supposed to be 250 but i would believe 300

well the ohms depends on which woofer, D2 (dual 2 ohm), D4 (dual 4 ohm, or D6 (dual 6 ohm), but all are 300 rms (see chart in PDF link)

that is for v2, he is looking for v1 specs which more than likely, are the same as the v2.

v1 is a different animal.

I believe they only came in a 2 or 4 ohm configuration. Pretty sure they didnt do the 6 ohm versions.

anyways. if you are looking to buy a w3v1, you'll be told what the configurations are you have available for you at the time of purchase.

you can worry about the amp after you get the drivers.

something in the neighborhood of 500 rms at whatever load your subwoofers will be wired up to, total.

400 is fine, and so is 600. 500 is just a ballpark.

you can find many choices from sound domain to ebay to ikesound to retail.

just make sure the amplifier power rating is in "rms" watts at the specific load in "ohms" that your subwoofers will be wired to TOTAL. you'll be good ot go

enjoy!
