hey i just made a system and well i got an amp subs and head unit but am keeping my stock speakers in. i got a JVC KD-SH99 that puts out like 50 watts peak. how can i protect my stock speakers with maximum sound[IMG]i/expressions/beer_yum.gif[/IMG]

if your deck doesn't have a high pass filter and your not using a seperate amp with one then u r out of luck. you can try bass blockers but they r not that effective and they don't work well of hu's anyways. you need to get rid of the low notes or they will die

Just tweak your bass and treble till you get a nice amount of bass at higher volumes. Your HU should have a x-over in it, so play with that first, then fine tune!
