Oops my mistake. I meant to say, Diamond is by far better then Kenwood, however, would argue Diamond is on par with Focal and Boston. Diamond even for some amps offer lifetime warranty..HELLO!

I don't think those speakers are anything to brag about, for that price anyways. Well, I am comparing them with Seas Lotus Reference now, so yeah...
it all depends on what your powering them with. they can take a lot more than they list @100w. try putting like 500W to them with the gain down to really hear them. i am just a stickler when it come to over powering speakers. you can make almost anything osound good that way. but it does depend on the speaker. the focal 165v2's i have now arent very impressive with the diamond amp i have powering them. it like its too much power but to me its still not enough.

we all have our opinions that is what makes this industry so strong. everybody can have something different and stilll sound good. there re too many factors in a comparison to deal with. you can make diamonds sound good. but to me nothing like focal utopias. i guess i am a focal man never really though abou tit before. my buddy is trying to get me to buy his focal subs. they sound good too but i honestly like my eclipse 87212dvc. it sounds just as good as the aluminum or titanium but doesnt take nearly as much power to give the same sound quality

Ya I know what you mean I am biased towards Nak, although their product line is not the same as it was before. I did here the focals compared to bostons, the bostons produced alot more highs, where as the focals were softer to the ear (warmer). In another store heard the diamonds which were like the in between. It all depends on the source though, provided you have a good signal.

lol diamonds arent forever... because when taken from the earth, you remove the pressure and heat in which they would last forever in that form.. but after say maybe 100's or thousands or avery very very long time, it will just turn into graphite.. yep, the same kind in your pencil.

next time try some DLS speakers, they are very natural sounding.

when I was getting my system one of the sales guys let me listen to his setup. and i loved it, so i got the exact same, PolkMOMO components and 6x9s, with a Alpine 4 chan (MRV-F540) and I love it, im sure theres better, BUT.. they had a 1/2 off sale goin, and I got a good deal on the speakers, and I didnt mind spending the $ on alpine. I didnt know enough about my car at the time which is why I didn't do it myself. had I dont it myself... well first i would have saved a TON. and might have some more expensive speakers w/ the saved money, but they're really nice for wut I paid.

I still dont know if I would attempt to do ALL 4 speakers (amped) but I'd give it a shot before I took it in this time, on a new car I'd prolly just find a better local place to take it to.

you are aware that the hex serie are some of the most sought after speakers on the planet right???? Also they do make stuff that is more expensive then most focal...the d9 series....You cant go wrong with diamond.

I was disapointed in the utopias I heard...the tweeters were awful and the midbass was muddy...not worth that much

Well, I can't really say its a fact that Diamond Audio makes the best speakers, hands down. But to answer your question and to explain my reason for my opinion:
Rainbow, MB Quart, Focal, DLS, & Boston Acoustics. These are all brands that make equal qualtiy speakers, it just depends on which series you compare. So second best would have to be Polk, Kicker & Infinity.

CplJon will become famous soon enough
I also have Diamond CM3 6.5 comps up front and love them. Unfortunately you should never base your final decision on what others have said. Its good to use others input to narrow down your decision but you really need to go out and try to hear the speaker you want before purchase. Like I said, I love my Diamonds (comps and subs) but someone else might think they're too bright or the subs don't hit the frequencies they want, or whatever the case may be. There are many high quality brands out there, just make sure you listen to them and go from there.
