rear speakers

my rear speakers are stock, the 2 up front are 400watt clairions with a lil tweater on em. I want to change my rear ones but I don't want to do any cutting or drilling anything like that. What speakers can I buy that will just "fit" (with little mods) to the rear speaker holes?

most speakers have to do some drilling for the mounting holes, as mounting holes almost always never match up. though you might be able to get one or two lined up. what you want to worry about is the magnet clearing the bars in the trunk. if youre going through the trouble in upgrading the speakers, worry more about how they sound, rather than if you have to do some simple mods to make them work.

i generally like to keep speaker companies the same since they are usually made for eachother. so id follow something along the lines of a clarion.

i have infinity reference and they fit 6.5 inch for sedan. 3 screws and they are fine. stock speaker wire is good enough.

if you use the deck to power the speakers, you probably wont notice a difference. it begins to matter when you have high current going through it when it becomes a problem.
