ok so this summer i'm lookin to redo the system in my car. right now i have a pioneer deck, 4 pioneer mids 2 in front and 2 in the rear deck, and a 10'' audiobahn sub with a built in amp. so this is what i'm lookin at for the summer....any advice as to good or bad...any changes i should make...please share....i'm not gonna get new speakers because my pioneers wokr just fine..but this is what i'm thinking of:

new alpine deck

kicker 15'' sub

audiobahn amp...800 watts just to the sub

box for the sub
all together it should be about 1800 or a lil less....what do you guys/girls think? thanks in advance

Looks like youre going for better bass ouput right? The equipment seems fine, price seems a little steep for all of that though. At least you are switching to Alpine. Welcome Friend, enjoy your stay. I personally have not had any bad experience with glidetouch, but others will say different. Alpine does have a whole new line out now, you should check them out too
I wouldnt get that big of a sub. I would only get a 12 at the largest. What type of pioneer deck do you currently have? What alpine deck were u looking at getting? What type of box for the sub?
Oh, and I would amp those speakers also. (it will make a huge difference and it will sound a ton better)

Its usally easier just to have 2 seperate amps. 1 (mono or 2 channel amp bridged) for the sub and 1 (4 channel amp) for the speakers.
i dont recommend putting a 15" solobaric in a small enclosure like that. check out www.kicker.com and read their tech manuals on what a ported enclosure should consists of. on the side note, you wont be seeing the true potential of what solobarics are capable of without the right amount of power.
the audiobahn A2002V is no where near going to give you 800watts (RMS). www.audiobahn.com claims 200rms x1 on a 4ohm load on their website.
all THAT for 1800...unbelieveable.
check out www.onlinecarstereo.com for great deals on car audio equipment. thats where i first look into when buying subs/amps. if they dont have it, then i ebay it with a seller thats 100% positive feedback.
