To much stuff?
To much stuff?
A friend of mine figures that more is better. In his car he has 1x12 sony, 2x10 jensen, 1x15 infinity subs, none of which are new and are sub par quality, factory speakers and a set of 4, 2 1/4 inch computer speakers and an 8 inch sub that came with them running off a mid range panasonic deck. The subs are powered by a sony 240W GTX Series 4-Channel, and a shitty $200 1000watt amp he got from some bargain place. I told him that he'll end up frying something due to running the computer speakers but he wont listen and says it will be fine. I hoped to get some other opinons to show him what hes doing is simply wrong and he should stop for the good of everyone. he also did all the instal himself and didnt use any sound deadening material so the 4 subs in the trunk rattle the **** out of everything. He says it sounds sweet anyway.

exactly, what kind of idiot puts those kind of subs and speakers? I would rather be running stock than having that setup in my car.
best 1st post ever. yeah when guys would come in with stuff like that I would blow them out. I bet most car stereo places would rather him leave than even try to touch that mess out of fear of something not working after they touch it. what he is doing is the equivalent of wearing 8 pairs of sweats to a black tie event. Yeah you probably spent as much as renting a cheap suit but your a dumb ***.

i think he needs to learn a little bit more about car audio. you can't just put anything in a car. i go by the old saying of "you get what you pay for". i've got 2 jl 12w3 powered by a 500x1, polk momo 6.5 components and 6x9 (3 way) powered by a 300x4. it will blow his setup out if the water.+

Also, why waste a trunk with 4 different brands of shitty subs? AND WHY COMPUTER SPEAKERS!?!?!?!

I hate setups like that, the only thing you hear is the liscence plate rattling against the trunk...check him at night, the lights of his car will complement the subs. I've seen people here suck their battery because of this. This is the same as people thinking that their cars will look tight if the buy chrome 19's to a four lugged car...
