My step-dad gave me a budget of 350-400 to buy a new deck for me for christmas (or "the Holidays" if your PC). I looked around a lot and for a really good deal on a Clarion dxz855mp, for 350 brand new. I ended up getting that, good choice?

i dont think it's ugly, i'm converting my interior lights over to hyper-white and it'll blend in perfectly, as for that cvisual, dont like it too much, but it has a blue car driving that looks badass....

I have last years Clarion 845. Clarions are great decks with a lot a useful features. All the features you will use not like the other decks where it has a lot a features but not useful. Everybody puts Clarion down but they are one of the best. I love my Clarion and you will love it too.

I've always been told clarion was the best, so i saw that deal and couldn't pass it up, and i love it, nothing i dont like about it yet....

i used clarion for years when i was younger and i never had a problem with one. that is a very clean looking deck in my opinion. i think it was a good choice. good luck...

It all depends on what your definition of the best is. Coolness features, adjustability features, sound quality. Its a neat looking deck, but too flashy for me. I still like my old Alpine 7969. Optical output baby. For the money it seems like a nice deck though

It's a good deck,you got a good price,you got 4 volts,you got LP & HP crossovers.Can't go wrong really.It's just not an ALPINE

I'm not trying to start a war or anything, but when went and listened to pioneer deck, my clarion had much more clear sound, and read cd's a lot faster...except when i unpause it

Obviously your Pioneer is an exception.I had the Premier P860mp in my truck,and i got the alpine 9855 in the civic and the SQ and feel of the deck is alot better than the cheap plastic pioneer.But i'm sure the alpine F1 will give that stuff you got a run for the money.

Booba your Clarion is better than the pioneer.Hondasales has some wicked stuff that not the majority would ever think of buying.
