Sony head unit Install

Hey everyone,
I got my new Sony head unit isntalled and I have one question. I have both the red wire (power) and the illumination (orange I think) hooked in the same wire to the harness. Everything works great but now my parking lights stay on. Also, when I unlock my car the head unit flashes.

When I turn off the car everything goes off like normal. It's not really bothersome, but I was thinking that if I took the Illumination wire out that it would solve that issue. Will the head unit still light up after I do that?

Thanks in advance.

I don't really think you need the orange wire hooked up, just unhook it, try it out, but in my experience I never hooked it up with any other wire.

Hook up the Illumination wire to the Illumination wire on the deck (if applicable). They are not always the same color, so pay attention.

who installed that? . what happened was that the ignition wire was feeding the illumination wire thats why the parking lights were on when the car was on. also when unlocking the doors, your HU was turning on and off because the illumination wire was feeding the hu cause it was connected to the ignition wire. anyways if you want to connect it, you can connect it to the illumination wire on the harness. but u don't have to connect it
