I've read some of the posts about replacing just the front vs doing them all and I think I am going to replace the front speakers.
I've got a 2001 civic ex coupe. I checked out the pics in the DIY section and they are pretty helpful. The only thing I didn't see was about the smaller speakers up near the mirrors... but once I take the door panel off (gawd I hate taking the door panels off... did that on my 96 hx and it was a pain getting everything flush afterwards) I imagine it will be self explanatory.
So, are these Infinity Reference 6010cs decent speakers? (note cut and past the link. I cant link yet.)

That's about my price range. They'll be used without amp with the factory cd player.

Infinity's are really good speakers, especially they're component sets and midranges...you could prolly find them for a better price if you're willing to shop around. check overstock.com,ebay,amazon, and hell even the for sale forum here...gotta look to find
Thanks
Looks like they're the same price $159 at Amazon. But anyway, I signed up an account at crutchfield and they gave me a $20 referral deal to give to a friend, when he orders I get $20 off a purchase.
So I am having my father in law order me the adapter to plug into the cd changer port that gives me rca inputs for my mp3 player. So after he orders it for me I'll get the speakers for $139.

NO^. if ur a n00b, do Crutchfield. They have really great info that will help u learn about car audio and they will include directions and all the harnesses that u need to install free!

i got infinity kappa components... really good stuff... but cost $299 on crutchfield.. got mine off eBay for half
if all you want is better sound get something cheaper beace the infinitys really need to be amped to sound good, and since you just want to use the stock deck get some cheap pioneers or panasonics.. both sound good on low power
