gotta get a sub to fit my car
oh im looking for a sub... but im thinking of only getting one. i really kinda need the space... what i was thinking is i might want to drop the 40 part of the 60/40 seat.... so i wouldnt need the 60. what if i put just one good quality sub there? what kind should i get? what size? will there be enough bass as lets say... two 12's? please help me.... was thinking of one 18.... but read nighthawk's thread and everyone says that 18" wont sound good..? duno why but ok...

it depends what sub you get... 1 12" kicker solo baric will out thump most 2 12s. you could probably get it for 250.
i usually have my seats folded down, but just put them back up whenever someone gets in the back... its better to do this then take it out and put it back each time...

One high quality sub and amp will be plenty of bass......unless you are planning on entertaining those outside the car too.
I use Infinity's powered sub (Basslink), which is a 10" sub w/ 10" passive radiator, powered by a 200 watt class D amp and bundled into an elegant little unit. It hits hard and sounds very nice for a $200.00 all in one sub, amp, and enclosure. It is a relatively conservative alternative to the traditional box/sub/amp scheme.
Good luck hookin up yo shiet!!!

Okay.. Well how much wattage you want?.. also if you want some really Low deep bass, get a Kicker 12" L7, Drop in Kickers reccomended low tuning ported enclosure and you have DEEP, celan LOUD bass. If you give it a good 500 WRMS or a little more.

Well, my 1 12" MTX 8000 hits really hard, at least it seems to. Anybody who's heard it has been quite impressed. The quality is alright, but It doesn't have all that much sensitivity. But for the price it's quite impressive (got a good deal). Feeding it 500WRMS, so slightly more than it's rated for, but whatever. It should hopefully stand up to it, I never turn it up too loud...
Anyhow, the point is that one decent 12 (Solo baric, Infinity Perfect, etc...), with a decent amp, and plenty of power. Will do just fine for bass. Unless your after a really really really good system. competition level. errr, that may have made some sense.
