Exclamation question about door speakers

I recently had my stock speakers replaced by infinity refrence 6.5's both front and rear. I had them dynamat the doors and rear deck. Problem is that now the rear speakers sound much louder than the front ones. The only way to get the Front to Rear balance to sound right is to adjust it on the head unit. The only difference between the front and back speakers is that the front ones are shallow depth speakers. Anyone have any ideas what could be wrong, if anything? I have a pioneer 4x50 watt head unit if that matters.

i have no idea. did you check all of the connections? positive and negatives are correct? what are the rms for the front and back?
if everything seems ok, just fade it to the front about 1 or 2 clicks.

the shallow depth speaker are rated a little lower than the rear speakers. so you will need to fade the speakers foward to even out the sound.

i installed infinity 6.5" in the front doors, and rear......w/ an amp.....my front speakers sound quieter and have a little less bass.........i think this car always sounds like that with aftermarket speakers......its just the way the door is shaped, and how the speakers are mounted.......also the factory front speakers have a plastic enclosure which might make them sound a little louder in the doors......i just adjusted my amp to have the front speakers turned up a little bit louder than the rear.......

Not only this car, but I've seen most cars are like that unless a complete factory system is used.

The best bet will be fading, then adjust the phase of front/rear to make the sound together at the front.

i've got a question about the speakers also... do you need the foam and the metal brackets/adapter in order to install the speakers? I'm missing both of them... thx

you guys did something wrong with the install. i have the same speakers 6.5 infinity all around, amped, installed, with cheap alpine HU. I also have tweeters running off deck power but even without them the speakers are pretty balanced. The rear will be slightly louder due to the car shape, but I haven't found the need to fade anything. Maybe you just need tweeters? The speakers are great, on some trance songs the bass is clear and loud enough to rattle the mirrors.
