Rep Power: 0 BANG for BUCK
hey guys im about to do a complete replacement of all my stock stereo equipment... so far i have a JL 12W7 in a prowedge box, a JL 1000/1 mono sub amp, and a JL 300/4 4 channel speaker amp. im gonna probably end up getting an alpine deck like the cda-9355 or 9855... whatever it is... dont remember the number... the top of the line normal deck (no dvd screen). what are good door speakers and rear deck speakers i could get that are a good bang for the buck... ive already gone all out on the rest and need to save as much as i can. also what size speakers fit in the stock slots? thanks guys...
i was thinking maybe infinite? although it would be cool to have an all JL speaker setup..

Rep Power: 304 Being as you appear to be a fan of JL product, I might recommend going with a set of their VR series co-ax speakers. They'll save most of the wide range of frequencies that your stock speakers reproduce. If you'd rather step over the JL boundaries, I might be inclined to recommend some of the following brands. Focal, Adire, CDT, MB Quart, etc. The Adire Koda 6 are awesome speakers, and very inexpensive, going for $80 bucks for the midranges (6.5's). They also play failry low into the lower midbass range, so you'll get a lot of the response back that stock provides. Whatever you decide, it wouldn't be a bad idea to amp the replacements, as you're not going to get their potential otherwise.

Rep Power: 304 Being as it's an online sale, they don't have to warranty it. They explicitly state they do not authorize online sale of their product, buying online is a risk you take. Try to find a shop authorized to sale their product to fabricate you a reciept for it.

GGRRRR... and i payed through paypal so i have ebay and paypal to protect me somewhat... hopefully ill get my money or a working sub out of it... wish me luck.

Rep Power: 304 You can find some mom and pop shops that will fabricate you a reciept. To my knowledge, Best Buy isn't a licensed JL distributor. Make sure that, should you decide to go that route, whoever makes you the reciept is licensed to sell JL product.
As for PayPal, eBay, etc recouping your losses, well, frankly, good luck with that. Yes, it was internet fraud. And yes, that is illegal. Problem is getting eBay and PayPal to go after the person to recoup your losses. You thought you were getting a good deal, yet you got stiffed. Unfortunately, that's part of the internet sales phenomena. I would seriously doubt JL would repair it without very expensive cost. It sucks that you got stiffed, but that's the risk you take when you purchase something through eBay. For all you know, it could have working when he shipped it. It could be mishandling by the package service used. How well was it packed?

Rep Power: 0 it was packed VERY well, huge box, tons of bubble wrap, styrofoam, and peanuts, took me like 15 mins to get it out. I have read through paypal policies and it looks like i will be able to get my money back. Im just demanding a full refund and i will ship it back to him at his cost as of now.
there are a few other things that were described wrong, such as "only used for 3 hours max" and the box has chips all over it and the carpet is starting to tear off in places... i call BULL ****. wish me luck guys... back to the original topic, any one know any good speakers? haha im gonna get those rear speakers that were suggested above...
