" DUB " is synonomous with ...
"The only reason this company makes money is because of the huge amount of stupid ghetto people who would buy human **** if they saw a rapper holding some."

seriously you can find much better speakers for cheaper. Kenwoods there for the same price, and Pioneers for 10 more are much better choice than these.

If you want real great quality I recommend these (quality increases with price too)

Blaupunkt entry level 6x9 if you want cheap this is the best choice. blaupunkt is a very good brand!

nice all around performance Kenwoods
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-1J5wkgT...0&I=113KFC6969

*Same as above Kenwoods with better highs
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-1J5wkgT...0&I=113KFC6979

*Another great speaker by Kicker
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-1J5wkgT...00&I=20605KS69

*Alpine 6x9 $120
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-1J5wkgT...0&I=500SPS690A

and my personal favorite for the best all around speaker:
*Infinity Reference 6x9 $120
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-1J5wkgT...300&I=1089612I

I put a * next to the ones i like best.

That should be a great starting point. please either save up and get a nice infinity or alpine speaker (or something else as good) or go something different. just please dont get DUB anything... ever!

haha thanks rufus. i am just trying to emphasize how cheap and poorly made more DUB stuff is. I hope he either gets one of the ones I posted or finds something similiar he likes.

On more thing:
Infinity and Alpine are known to have good midbass and highs, but lack a little in the lows. with subs its ok. even with decent front speakers its ok. but if you want more bass then the other 6x9s might be better for that. either way a 6x9 usually doesnt hit anything like a sub but they do fill in alot of the higher low frequencies that a sub isnt good with.

You need to listen to your ears and not our opinions...because only you can decide what sounds good or not.

Most of us have different standards of "good" because some of us have never heard anything past entry level aftermarket speakers while others participate in sound competitions and are always around the "best."

Its 90% installation and 10% equipment as I have been told many times by people who know car audio.

Buy the speakers and install them properly and correctly and they should sound good.

Despite breaking it and the polarity, can you really screw up installing 6x9's? lol?
I mean this is no hard job here.

one last final tip and i may just stop haha,
remember that speakers, especially subwoofers, have a break in period. if you can resist blasting them for a while then they should last longer and stay in peak condition longer

lol crutchfield was down?
well thats weird.

I have ordered from them in the past and have no complaints. They are great.
One thing, I think your local Best Buy should have the alpine ones out becuase BB sells alpine. But infinity is one of my favorite companies. My first sub setup was all infinity and it was amazing.
