IMO, the rear speakers dont do much, so i wouldnt spend too much on a set. just something better than the crappy factory ones as they distort too much. try not to spend over $100 on 6x9's... trust me, i thought it would make a world of difference or more than expected... it doesnt do much. just buy some $50 old pioneers or other lower models cause they wont do too much for you.
DO becareful on choosing a set of 6x9 speakers as most out on the market tend to hit the torsion bar casuing your trunk shocks to 'alter'. i have some jbl 936's and it fits. but my trunk feels just little stiffer, but no biggie at all.

anyone know if
alpine type r SPR-69LP 6x9's fit without removing the trunk springs? if they fit, is a spacer required?
how about infinity kappa 692.5i's? they require..3and 1/16th mounting depth...i doubt they'll fit but i'm just wondering since i already have a set of those on hand...

Rep Power: 0 Infinity Kappa series - 692.7i
Fit perfectly with still an inch of room below the magnet!
Strange thing was that 2 screws lined up perfectly, and the other 2 holes were about .5 inch off... Guess I'll find out if 2 screws is enough to hold those down.

Rep Power: 0 two questions:
- any of you have to drill new holes for the 6x9 screws, or there a lot of 2-screw & 3-screw installations? :\
- my Infinity Kappas 6x9s for the trunk came with these big hulking crossovers...where can I mount them?
