my speaker is cut
There is a cut in one of the rubber surround part of the speaker. Will this affect the sound quality? I'm pretty sure the circuit city installers did it when putting the deck back on cause it was like that 2 yrs ago when I opened it up to dynamat. I can still hear it, just the bass is a bit lower than usual. That and now the bottom of the cones in the trunk has body shop crap stuck to it.

It's obviously not going to move the air as efficiently. Air will travel through the hole. I'd be willing to wager that eventually, especially if you run it at higher playback volumes, that the small tear will eventually seperate the cone from the surround.
