component speakers

hey guys i have to sets of fanatic p components (one set in the front and one set in the rear). My question is if i want to get more low end in the rear without adding subs can i just disconnect the rear tweeters from the crossover and set the rear mid ranges to low pass filter?

i don't think the midrange speaker in a component set is designed for low frequencies.

I dont think u understand a x over....
It sends the bass/midrange requencies to the speaker and it send the higher frequencies to the tweeter so if u disconnected ur tweeter u would just be getting sound that wasnt as clear b/c u would b missing some signals. even if u changed the x over it might seem lounder (bass) but it would actually be the same and sound shittier as a whole. Just amp those things if u want more bass

lowpassing the speakers would not make them play lower/louder... it would just filter out the higher frequencies

If you disconnect the tweeter(or any speaker BEHIND crossover) your amp will produce significantly less power.....

And I don't think much speaker can do low-end bass unless you can tune it to keep up with the resonance of the car to boost low-end, which rear deck is not a good option......
