pop out the piece under the dash that holds the 12 volt socket. Then you see 2 screws going through a silver bracket. Remove these. Then get your fingers under and behind that spot and pull towards you and up a little. The whole console will pop out with the vents, radio, and climate control. Unplug everything and remove the whole thing. Then do your thing with the radio.

You need to get a good grip on it, then pull. It takes a little force, but it should pop right out.

I used a smooth-edged butter knife to pop the clips out.

I actually pulled the whole center console and ran them under the carpet and bottom back seat to the trunk. It took a bit of wrasslin but it came out good.

As I am sure others have mentioned, always run the RCAs and power cables down opposite sides of the car from each other (to prevent interference).

First check the gain...turn up the gain until it is loud enough but not rumbling....second option is head unit. Fine tune your head unit with the bass and sub settings...also if you have a rockford amp make sure the bass **** is connected...for whatever reason on rockford amps the bass **** makes a big difference, even if it is not turned up, it just has to be plugged in. Finally if all that is good and its still not loud...the ohm level on your sub(s) are probably wired at too high. Get an ohm/volt meter and stick it in the terminal on the box (black to negative, red to positive obviously), if the ohms read higher than 6 or 8ohms, you need to put them in parallel to cut the ohms in half.

Pretty much if NONE of that works, the amp might not be grounded well or your battery sucks or you just have a sucky system altogether.
