I was just wondering how hard it would be to mount 6 inch coaxs in place of the rear 6x9s because i really like round speakers better, more accuracy. plus i found a nice set of JLs for like 30 bucks. Also, if that isn't easy. Would it be easier to do 5x7s? i can also get a nice set of JLs for like 30 bucks. hahaha... if it's gonna be a big pain in the *** let me know.

u can always get an adapter plate for them

You'd need to buy or make an adapter plate for that.. You can fit 5 1/4's in a 6X9 hole.. you'd have to use a spacer to fit a 6.5 but that may not clear the rear deck and when the speaker plays it's gonna be hittin plastic..

Yeah, it may be more trouble (and rattle) than it's worth......IMO, the rear speakers are not the primary source of your listening pleasure, they just "fill in sound from the back".........just stick with 6x9s.

and it's not worth the 40 bucks for the work right. I should just grab some crappy sony's or whatever since i think i'm selling the car anyway... and they're 6.0 not 6.5, but i doubt it would make a huge difference.
