im having a problem that i think can be traced back to my power inverter

I have one of those new small ps2's and have it hooked up to a pioneer avh-p5700dvd. I set the pioneer to av mode and the screen goes black like theres no signal---good---so i switch on my power inverter and it looks like those old computer screens that have lines scaning the screen---bad---. Actually turn on the ps2(light on ps2 green) same thing. So i just plug the ps2 into a extension cord to my house and it works fine. So I think the power inverter craped because before i had the pioneer indash i had a screen molded into the dash and the ps2 worked fine with it same inverter.

Ive tried to other brand new inverters both rated at 300watt/600peak and the lines still scan the screen.

Im stumped. I really wanna use it with an inverted but none seem to work. I know the new ps2 coverts 110v to 8.5 using a black box thats inline on the power cord. Im thinking i might just ditch the black box and use some resistors to regulate 12v down to 8.5v and hope for the best.

by the way the ps2 works fine it just has the lines scanning the screen when pluged into 3 different branded power inverters. It works perfect in my car if i plug the ps2 into a wall socket at my house

Exact same problem for me, very anoying, especially when you've tried everything and it still happens.
