05 civic oem headunit

i was wondering if anybody knows if the stock EX headunit has rca outputs so i can plug in my ipod and have better quality than my iTrip...

i dont wanna remove my center console and find out that im not able to do what i want to do

no it certainly doesnt. and u would need a AUX input not a RCA output. OUTPUT as in OUT not INPUT as in IN

nope, it doesn't have RCA inputs (that's what you probably meant right?), I took mine out after a month that I had the car. But you have an aux input in front (it's the earphone jack) it's not for earphones, it's an input. So you could buy a cable with two male earphone tip and plug one in the I pod and one in the HU. If you don't want the wires to show, you could open up the HU and solder the wire coming from the ipod directly to the board where the input jack is (if you have soldering experience).

yea that's what i meant sorry guys new to the whole audio scene....

but i dont have the Special Edition EX so i dont see that headjack there...oh well

no aux in, you can get an fm transmitter (crap quality) or get an adapter that will let you hook up an ipod to your head unit
