crackling sound from speaker
sup everyone?? i noticed last night that when i drive over a bump or turn, basically when the car moves, or especially when i tap the top of the dash my stock radio emits a crakling sound from the front driver side speaker. when the radio is off the crackling sound is not there even if i tap the top of the dash
does anyone have any suggestions or solutions for this? should i open the front door panel and dash or radio and look for a loose wire? oh the fuse for the radio is fine i checked it and it looks fine, i also replaced it just incase.....help.....anyone.....thanks

check behind the radio for a loose wire. tug on the connections (not TOO hard but hard enough to pull out a wire if it was loose) and see if any of them come apart. I am assuming you have an aftermarket deck, is that correct?
"gearbox" i tried searching for door panel removal for a sedan, but came up empty..can u help....thanks....oh, to answer your question "pg" im still running on the stock radio.
I have a similar situation in which the music will crackle and start to fade out and in a matter if seconds the music fades from the speakers and only the subs r left playing... It must be a loose wire I cant think of anything else that it would b but I just havnt taken the time to try and fix it. Alpine HU and amped the speakers which r diamond audio.

i know my tweeters sometimes cut off completely but pulling out the deck and jiggling wires fixes it lol.

SAme here it happens to mine in the rear same spot. Only over bumps and such. And is real on and off. This did not occur until I had the tinter change the rear deck speakers and yes my deck is after market. I will check the connections but like I say its real on and off.
