The radio itself performs great. the controls take a little getting used to. Tuning the crossover and equalizer can also be challenging. If you have time to spend on it up front, and have a working knowledge of the different frequencies, its a great stereo.

I'm on my third 9847 I don't know why but the first two died on me. Hope you buy it from a place that carries the warranty I would have been pissed if I hadn't.

it works good for me.. the only complaint i have is that wiht our dash you cant see the display at all during the day..

Its just cause how the dash it built, it sucks i have the problem with the 9887 to, im trying to come up with something to fix that though

yeah the deck is hard to see in our cars but the deck itself is not hard to operate. its about as hard as learning how to use directtv/digital cable its a great unit def worth the money for the audio control, 3 po, alpine

Deck is a good one, BTW there is a DIY on how to mount the deck in the lower portion of the radio/pocket.

^^how big of a difference does that diy make? is there still glare at ALL? cause if there is i dont think its worth spending another 20-30 on another metra kit

It has less glare, but can still be hard to read in bright-bright sun. But, I can always read it.
