ok I had it for like two months and returned. not because it sucked but because i needed more. its actually a really great unit. It adds a lot to your stock speakers and it takes up very little space in your trunk. the only thing that really bothered me is that when you turn it up and youre listening to something like rock, it doesnt do well with the bass drum. especially when they do double pedal hits.

overall its a good buy but i would not buy it again. what was great is that I used to work for circuit city when i bought it. it was only like 60 bucks with my employee discount. i upgraded to a Alpine TYPE R. I had this unit in my 00 nissan altima. the trunk is a lot bigger than our 7th gens but i think it would work better in my vic than in the alty.

try it out, im pretty sure they have a 14 day return policy wherever you buy it.

Only you can tell that...what sounds good to you may sound like crap to me, and vice-versa.

depends on what you want. if you want to add just a bit of more bass to it then it will just sound a bit cleaner. but if you want to add more thump to your system then it may sound like crap. but just like mystic said, you can only tell that

what i did with my altima was add some bass reducers to my stock speakers. that way i could turn the bass up without them distortioning.

I love mine. If you're looking to wake the neighbors, look elsewhere. It's the perfect compliment to my pretty tame system. I've barely got mine turned up and its plenty of bass for me. I've still got a usable trunk too!
