Just blacked out deck lights

This was bothering me for a while. I have a pioneer 940mp with OEL display (matches my custom EL gauges), but purple function buttons! Well as you know the rest of my dash is blue so I decided to fix this. I opened up the faceplate and colored the clear pieces with black marker and put e-tape over the little leds. Well it worked cause now at night I only get the main screen light up and not buttons. This may be worth trying for some of the new decks that have everything nice and blue except for a few green function buttons. Oh and I don't really need the light anyway. The only buttons with names are src and band. The rest and blank (softkey) anyway with the function on the screen.

um lol its really not that hard. Actually pioneer faceplates just unscrew and pull apart. Great for cleaning dust off behind the screen. I'm gonna try and take new interior night pics later.
