Amp for infinity perfects
I am planning on buying 2 infinity perfects in the very near future and I'm having trouble deciding which amp I should go with. I was originally going to go with an MTX 801D, but then I came across the MB Quart Refeence RAA1000 (1000 watts for $300 off of crutchfield is really tempting), and the MB Quart Reference RAA2400 ($250 off of crutchfield). I would really rather having an amp with a higher rms rating than the rms rating on my subs because there is less chance of clipping with a more power than there is with less power.
I'm planning on getting the subs right after I get the amp, but whether or not I get single or dual voice coils relies on the amp that I buy. I will be putting the subs in a sealed box because my aim for this setup is sq.

the mb quart amps are a good deal, but you should look into a Rockford Fosgate Power two channel amp. I have one and it greatly puts out more power than it is rated

I do not like most of those listed. I too am going to run the perfect series. I would say hifonics. Is up there and they are cheap on ebay. They are ten times better than a mtx or rockford amp and there amps are under rated. My buddy has them running a resonant engineering sub. It hits almost too hard.

How do all of the amps in this topic compare in sq? That is one of my main goals. I'm trying to get an amp for under $300 so that will narrow my amp choices a little. Ebay prices are fine to go by too.

The one thing that I noticed about the MBQ amp was that a lot of people on the 'net have said that it has a nasty turn-on pop. I know it may not bother some people, but it would bug the hell out of me! There are remedies for a turn-on pop though ( it is probably a lot easier to hide then a turn-off pop)
