Ive installed a deck in a 93 civic but the dash layout looks much different. After talking to some people i heard that installation on 2k1 civics are really difficult if you don't have a lot of experience. I already bought the install kit im just waiting for delivery on the deck (blaupunkt san jose).

Anyone else hear anything like this?
Any suggestions or tips on install?

this was my first time doing it and i thought it was easy. with the install kit you should be fine.. but ya maybe the screws wont line up perfectly so you might have to ghetto rig it a lil...

I did mine. It was easy. I had no problem with the screws lineing up. Just be careful prying around the dash piece that holds the HU in. I tore my dash a little, it isnt noticeable, but I know it is there.

HU install is all too easy....just be careful not to f*#@up your dash.....and get a decent kit so that the HU mounts flush. Good Luck!

It is cake to put in. take the piece where the cig lighter is and pop it off. there is two bolts that are silver. take them out . Next with your hand up in the dash push from the inside out and push the whole piece out. once you have it out, take the factory radio out and install the kit . the rest you should know.
