Shift Light Install...HELP

hey guys..where did everyone elts take their tach wire lead from, and what color was it? I was looking in behind my gauge cluster to see if i can steal a signal from there, but those wires are wrapped up nice and tight

any info would be appreciated

i took mine from the tach test signal wire, its in a small black rubber box behind the passenger headlights, its the purple wire i belive. Check out the DIY for tach install. Goodluck!

Man..i've been trying for about an hour to find this damn wire..PLEASE HELP!!! what box are you talking about?

I'de say he's talking ab the fuse box, but i'm not sure, gonna install a 5inch tach with shift light hopefually everthing will go smoth.

Hot of the presses, its the blue/ silver wire with the little rubber bootie in the loom that comes from the fuse box, its connected to the violet/white wire from my remote start. Lemme know if you need more help.

edit: In your second pic, its the blue wire with the yellow wire thats tapped into it.

so that's where i take my green wire form my tach and wire it to the blue wire. and that will work ?

its that little rubber box (not the fuse box). In ur pic its the one with the yellow wire in it

I pulled my speedometor out and plugged the wire to the little harness. Not sure which one it is put i just touched the wire to each of the little wires until the tach moved. I did it with the car on. If you need pics let me know and btw I have an LX which comes standard with a tach and just added another tach.

lol..i found what wire it is with my volt meter, but now my problems are getting worse by the day. On my tach, the needle does not light up nor does 4-6 rpm.

and yes i need to clean my engine bay..but i'll do it a couple days before turbo install

Then man! what to you do??? I have the same problem whit the green wire. I connect in the test tach connector an dosen't work.

How you solve the problem???
