Hey guys, I have a problem. I have a Kenwood in dash double din cd/dvd/navi screen in my car, and it's NTSC. I have the HKS CAMP unit hooked up to it, which is PAL. Now the CAMP unit will show up on my screen, but it is a little blurry (enough to get annoying). If I bought a PAL to NTSC converter, would this make my picture crisp? If I play ntsc stuff on the screen it is crisp and clear. Or does the PAL to NTSC converter only work if NO picture is displayed? I really justw ant my PAL item to display crisply and clearly on my NTSC screen. Any help is appreciated!

can you adjust a setting on the kenwood to display the pal image?

and why would the convertor only work if no picture was displayed? wouldn't htat defeat the purpose of the convertor int he first place?

Well i mean maybe it just does it if your ntsc cant display the pal image at all. And no my kenwood cant change from ntsc to pal.

So, do you think it would stabalize the picture, or it woulden't help at all

i would imagine an pal to ntsc to convertor would convert the pal image to ntsc, yes

Sorry, but I'm completely electornics illiterate lol. So "convert", even though the image already shows up, would stabalize the image? Hmmm it does sound like it works, but for damn 100+ bucks lol

Ok, so part 2 lol. I see they have some pal to ntsc converter i can buy, but they have like plugs on them, so you can plug them into the wall to be powered. If i took this to an audio shop can they rig it to run off the cars power? Not like in the cig lighter like wired to come on when the cars on?

yeah, you would need to purchase an invertor, and they could tuck it away up inside the dash
