where is the 01 sedan headunit install diy

SOHC is an unknown quantity at this point
where is the 01 sedan headunit install diy

my cousin is trying to install a headunit on his 01 sedan. hes having a hard time getting the console out. whats he doing wrong? just pry right?

is there a different proccess for the sedans? i see that sticky DIY up top, but its for the 04-05 coupes.


i dont have much trouble getting mine off, i have a coupe though.

its the same thing.
take out the center trim piece that has the cig lighter plug. just pull from the sides to release the clips.

look up through the hole that the trim piece you just removed covered. you will see a metal bar with 2 screws on it. remove them.

go up the the A/C / stereo console piece. pull it out using a flat tip screw driver covered in a towel to prevent damage. there are 9 clips.

install HU.

revearse all steps above except installing HU. leave that in!



OH so you know: Te first time taking the console piece out with the HU and HVAC controlls it was VERY hard in my 01 sedan. VERY hard to get out! Took alot of prying!

thanks, yeah he just discovered the 2 screws. guess thats the only dif vs coupes.

umm... dont coupes and sedans have 2 screws holding in the console?

Umm to my knowledge 01 sedan and coupe are the same..
