whats the difference? sub position
im trying to find out which types of subs to get... and where to put them in the rear? it doesnt really matter where does it? its just bass.... right? i wanna put them in the corners of my trunk. just behind the wheel well area. is that good? how about dropping them like derek did? i do need the trunk space which is why i am trying to figure out what is going to give me the best space and deepest bass.

Subwoofer positioning does make a difference. But that depends on the car and the actual distance between each sub. Basically the sound waves of each sub can kinda cancel each other out.. It works EXACTLY like dropping 2 pebbles in a pond.. But also you have to deal with sound waves defelcing off your car and such.. the 2 most efficient ways without cancellation are
1.. the best way. Face your subs toward the back of your trunk.. and Have the subs as close to the rear (closest to the license plate) as possible...
2nd most efficient: Put the subs facing the front of the car, with the enclosure as close to the backseats as possible.
3rd. Subs facing the License plate, Box against the rear seats (most common due to space issues)
There ya go

thanks for the help!
so im assuming something like the JL audio enclosures behind the wheel wells closest to the license plate is best!?!? i like those... i think im going to get them.
one question though.... why is it best if there facing the opposite direction of the driver and furthest away from the passengers?... at the rear?

Distance to the driver has nothing to do with it actually.. Just cancellation waves..Just that's where you would generally have the least amount of cancellation..
