Vibrations in the door panel
Both of my door panels vibrate. I thought it was the speaker coming loose, but the guy at CC showed me that it was the door panel. When it's vibrating (when certain tones play), if I push it toward the door it stops. So, I'm talking about where the dashboard kind of meets the door (when it's closed), and you can like barely slide your finger in the space between the dashboard and the door.
How can I make this stop vibrating? It's kind of intermittent, but it does it more than it doesn't. I'm not sure dynamat or whatever is the answer.
The guy at CC tried to sell me a $100 roll of Tsunami mat or something plus like $50 of installation but I said no thanks since he showed me where the sound was coming from. I figured I'd ask here first. Is there a way to stop that vibration?
Thanks

if the rattle is in the area between where the dash and door panel meet, wedge some foam between that area to see if it stops. if it does, just stick the foam to the dash and be done with it. it might look ghetto, but only when the door is open.

dynamat will not help that. You need to get some foam or padding and start sticking it places. Mine makes a rattle when playing certain techno and the speakers start moving. It could even be the pocket rattling against the panel. Just try the foam first.

ironfist, there are many ways to cheaply test a fix without spending ANY money, and cheapy permanently fix your issue without spending TOO too much money.
grab a t-shirt and go out to your car. close the door wiht the shirt between the dash and the shirt and see if that fixes your problem. does it? sweet! Now you can come up with a fix that wont cost too much. foam tape bordered around the space there could work, I myself would take some scraps of carpet most likely and glue it into place. I'm sure there are a dozen other fixes that prevent the two panels from contact, get creative! walmart towels, things of that nature, etc.....

Thanks guys. I didn't think dynamat was the answer.
I'd have to tape it to the side of the dashboard, tho, because if I just wedged it in there it would fall out every time I opened the door

make sure the clips are secure in your door panel first.... take your door panel off if you have to (it's easy), check all the clips make sure they are all seated properly and none broken and then put it back on and try again... if it still rattles... foam or similar
sound deadener(dynamat ect.) will not help this, it will make it worse, basicly it refects sound from the door outward, further vibrating the panel,
your panel is just loose, tighten it up bolts come loose, tabs pull out ect.
just pull it off, put it back on nice and tight ive had to do this alot over the years
