this was actually only $250 a few weeks ago....that price only lasted about 5 days. I'vew heard that the Mb Quart amps have a turn on pop noise......if you can get over that....it's definitely a good deal.
MB quart speakers rock, my friend got a pair of dte169 in his car. That thing awesome, event better than the LS430s Mark Levinson system in my dads car(heh, best sound system of the year!). Not many people know about MB quart tho, most ppl are talking about Alpine, Pioneer or kenwood ect... try a pair of MB quart, u'll never want to think about other brands :P
I was actually thinking about replacing my infinity 4 channel for that Quart 4200. crutchfield has it for around 250 right now. Can't really find lots of reviews on those amps though, so I'll pass right now.
I just bought that amp for 250. Their speakers rock i have 2 sets of 6.5 rce216 components and i assume that amp kicks ***. I will let you guys know how I like it after i retire my old 4 channel alpine v12 amp.

I finally read a couple reviews on the quart 4 channel, and lots of people said all it has going for it is power. Very noisy amp, not clean at all... Dunno, keep us updated though
I have a rockford Power 1000.1 2 channel for my subwoofers. Rockford has gone down in build quality and the type of amp they used to make. my amp is rated for 1000 watts and the birth sheet states 1685 watts. I love old rockford amps but i would not buy a new one and i am not into buying used car audio gear. I will let you guys know. I needed a new amp my MB components run on 60-130 watts and i was only putting 50ish in them from my other 4 channel. If the amp is anything like their speakers i am not going to be worried.

I was gonna jump on the bandwagon and buy that amp, but I decided to wait a couple more months and replace my amps with PG Xenon 100.4 for my mids, and 600.1 for my subs.
Please keep us updated and post a review as soon as you mount it in the car. Thanks
My birthday is June 13th. I am still waiting for another cap, my wiring kits, and some other crap. Once i get everything i will do the install on teh weekend and post pics of the whole install. I will have 2 sets of 6.5 MB Quart components, Fosgate 1000.1 amp for subs, 2 eclipse 12", the mb amp, the alpine 9815 head unit (as of now), 2 capacitors. I think thats it for the stereo as of now.

sounds good!
just an FYI to the people saying its noisy...it's their BASE model amp, the Q line amp hasnt been released yet, and for those that are buying it, think, there has to be a reason it's being marked down 50%

You obviously don't know anything of what you are talking about, so I'd appreciate it if you keep you ignorant-*** comments to yourself and show some manners to the people who have been around here longer than yourself.

I'd take the quart amp over any rf amp on the market now, but that's my opinion, and not a valid point, so let me continue.
Guess who owns MB Quart?
could it by chance maybe be,
Rockford Fosgate?
Why indeed it is!!!
Now, had you said what you said about quart without disrespecting fonto, then I would have probably kept my mouth shut, but you had to go and make a jackass of yourself.
I got my MB amp... Waiting on wiring and other Misc Parts. friday i Built the new trunk floor and carpeted it. i must say it looks amazing. the am is huge. Also, if you check crutchfield they are all sold out so i am happy i got on teh bandwagon when i did.
For the money they charged i knew i couldn;t go wrong. Worst case i sell it on ebay for wat i paid for it. The system shoudl be in next weekend when i have time of from work and all my parts. I will post and give a review on teh amp.

You havent found out why Mb Quart products prices just dropped. Its because as of a couple weeks ago, Rockford no longer owns Mb Quart as they are now German owned again. All production on Quart products in the US stopped and Rockford is now in the process of starting to make more sq products such as amps and compenents to help those involved in sound quality competitions. I have always used mb quart components but now that they are not owned by Rockford, that will probably put an end to that use.
Rockford and Mb Quart are no longer under the same management

I heard that also. However, it didn;t stop me from purchasing one of the last amps that mb produced under the rockford management. I also have MB components. i guess in the future i will look into other high end manufacturers.
You do realize that most of the Quart products sold before Rockford bought them got better reviews than they did when Rockford had them. I say the product is just going to get better now.

I was hoping to get these after everyone posted their impressions but oh well. These are selling for over Crutchfield's price on ebay.
