I got a 9385 and I want aux inputs. I bought te KCA-121B but it doesn't fit in the back ? anyone know what else I need, or is this just the wrong part...

what do you mean it doesnt fit? is it a space issue? is it not fitting in to the ai net plug? or is it plugging in but the leads dont reach to where you want?

how old is that unit? if the part number doesnt start with "CDA" then that adaptor wont work.

9835 IS LAST YEARS CDA9835. its ai net not m bus

ya, i know ! i got the ainet plug and it didnt fit. Is there a module that I have to buy for the ai net to work, or is it suppose to plug right in the back ?

If it is the CDA-9835 then that adaptor will work so I doubt thats the unit he's talking about.

thats why, i saw an ad for the plug and it said anything with CDA- will work..

are you sure you have the right part number?

The CDA-9835 is last years unit and that adaptor will fit and work!

Your asking about the CDA-9385 which I have not heard or been able to find info on, so I cant give you accurate information, but if it has CDA as the prefix then that means its Ai-NET and the adaptor will plug in, as for it being compatible with the deck you have it depends when it was made and if it has the aux software.

i'm an idiot.. sorry guys. I tried it agian, it just needed a hard push and it fit. I feel stupid now !

yeah, i have a 9831, i was gonna say that you might have stuck it in there wrong. i did that with one, and it broke, so i took it back and did it right.
