mount amps to the trunk lid?

if i put plywood on the lid of the trunk.. carpet it and then runt he wires under thata nd mount my amps to that.. would my amps have much of a problem? lots of people have had them in the car/truck on the roof.. so im jsut worried about heat.

also how can i make the trunk lift stronger so i dont get crushed

i would say that it's not a good idea because the trunk skeleton will bend with the extra weight. just try hanging 50lbs from the trunk skeleton and see what happens!

for your section question: get trunk shocks. 50lb shocks there's a DIY somewhere floating around here

Don't amps not like the top facing down since the heat will radiate back up into the amp...?
