my system install (pictures fixed)

EDIT: pictures should work now, i guess you cant link webshots

This is my first post in a really long time... anyway around Christmas I bought an Audiobahn A1300HTC amp, 2 10'' Alpine Type-R's, Alpine CDA-9825, and an Audiobahn digital cap. I’ve been working on installing everything when ever I get a chance to go home (im at unh right now). Anyway, here is what I've done so far

sorry... I didn’t have the camera when I built the boxes for the subs

More of the wrinkles in the corner came out after it warmed up a little

New deck and bass boost

The last thing I need to finish is the sides of the trunk, I’ve put down 2 layers of fiberglass, but it was cold so it took forever to dry. After I add a few more layers and smooth it out, im going to cover it in the same black vinyl as everything else.

let me know what you think, ill post more pics after I get the sides done, and put the nitrous bottle back in

Nice job on the amp. Neon looks good. Personally, I'd have gone with straight flat sides instead of glassing the trunk sides. Those might not vinyl that well. I'll try to show you what I mean. Meanwhile, you do have to fix those wrinkles even if it means re-vinyling. Did you use a little heat when you stretching the vinyl?

They hit prety hard, im still thinking about turing the subs back into the trunk to get a little more out of them.

Thanks, the rest of the wrinkles came out when I brought the car outside, that picture was taken like 10 mins after I finished. Ill take some more when I get the sides done. I might still go with flat sides if the glass doesn’t work out. I used 8gauge wire and made a large mesh pattern on the back of the carpet so it would hold its shape, but imp still not positive its going to turn out as well as I had thought.

Cool. I just think I like the boxy look of squared off sides with vinyl. Nice work though keep it postin'

nah, it wasnt too bad. As long as you have the tools, and you take your time its not all that hard. I worked on it off and on for a few weeks when i had time, but if you did it all at once, i would say it would take about a day.

home depot rules!! haha i work there. yeah we sell plexy glass. nice setup mad props for doing that yourself.. thats too much patience for me, i'd get it done at a audio place.. though i would be skeptical of the quality of work a audio shop would do rather than myself
