pioneer deck to power sub?
I heard this a while back... I have a pioneer 22wrms MOSFET per channel deck. Could I use it to power an 8 inch sub? The speakers are running off am amp, and tweeters hooked to front deck power. Can I hook a sub to the rears? Any bad things would happen?

Yea, i got a pioneer DEH-P4400 and it does that, i just swapped it out, but anyway, you have to turn the sub on (hold function), and from then the rear two channels and the rear rca's have a LP (lowpass) filter on them, the two channels combined to 70max at 2ohms
^had the same deck as well. the gay thing was you sacrafice the rear speakers for sub. but some dont like rear speakers for their own reasons.
i had a buddy hook up a 10" jl w0 or w3 to his pioneer deck (6400 deh?) and its barely noticeable. cant even feel or hear it cause his exhaust make more noise inside than the sub.
