What Size IDMAX?

Alright, I'm in the market for an IDMAX. I'm not quite sure on what size sub I should go with. I mostly listen to music with a lot of fast double bass drumming. Now, I know a 10 will keep up just fine with it, but I miss the low end of a 12" sub. Should I go with a 10" idmax and port it, or should I go with a 12" idmax in a larger sealed or the smaller ported box? I will be getting the D2 V3 so I can run my HCCA 250R at 1ohm which will be putting out just over 1000 watts.

What's your take on this?

unless ur getting it off ebay, have fun with the backorder, i've been waiting for mine from sounddomain for over a month, however when i ordered it they had additional savings + free s/h.

if they still have it u should order now to get the deal, im getting a 10"

I'd go 10" ported if u miss the low end of a 12.

Yeah, IDmax are always back ordered...I was lucky that i only had to wait a week.

...if the authorized dealers are having a hard time keeping them in stock, then I doubt that any authorized dealers will really have them

are you getting the 2 ohm or 4 ohm sub?
I have a 10 hcca subwoofer in a ported box right now. don't get me wrong, the sub gets low, but it doesn't pack the punch like a 12" sub does.
I just don't know how the hcca and the idmax compare to each other.

Hmm, maybe i should just go with a 12" then.

I'd say the HCCA is a SPL sub where the ID is a SQ sub. Totally different types of subwoofers. If you want more volume than the current 10" ..... I'd think you want a pair of ID's .....

Fonto, how many watts are you running to each sub? I would love to run 2 12"s a 1ohm. But I don't have that kind of money right now.

...so around 600 each.
