Stealth install question

I have a pioneer 9200R and am thinking of buying my friends CVA and trading mine with him and was not wanting to get jacked again and CVA's dont have a detachable face like the new pioneer indash dvd's ok so my question is does anyone think or has anyone cut off the front of their stock radio and made someway to take out the front of the install kit and replace it with the front of the stock radio???? kinda confusing but you get the idea.

I've seen a few people do this, but it looks fairly detailed. Will have to recess the new hu back enough for the false plate to fit over it to look stock. Stop up at a local install shop and check out what they can do or suggest.

Yeah it can be done.. but you have to mount the new HU about 1" deeper than stock and this takes a bit of work and alotta Bondo.. But yeah.. just either make the Stock HU face a tight fit to get back into the hole.. Or be creative and make clips or something somehow
