I have no idea how to do these, but if I had an idea, it could be done. Theres a few things, mostly stealing ideas from the Cadi's my dad gets

1)radio to stay on until I open the door
2)adjustable volume for radio on the steering wheel (one of the most convenient things ever invented)
3) I forget the other one, but will post it up here when I remember, lol

Peace

lol the only way I know you could do #1 would be having a relay so that whenever the door open light in the dash, or up top the dome light off the door setting, would come on it would switch off the power wire to the reciever. Only problem is a relay would be hard to get that would handle such amperage for the HU.

#2 short of opening the stereo up and tearing it apart good luck cause you need a HU that has a remote built for this or no go.

#3...cmon lets go

doors: you might need two 30amp relays for this. If I thought about it, I could figure it out. Have one relay open when ignition is turned off, then have a relay work with the doors, then diode isolate them to prevent the radio from turning back on after you close the door. It would probably take more then that, but that is the general idea.
remote: some pioneer radios are compatible with a steering wheel remote that you can buy seperately.

#1 http://www.the12volt.com/relays/page5.asp (go down the page to the "radio on until door opened" section)

#2 maybe get the radio remote switch assembly here: http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...SRS%29+%282%29

And this part
http://pcworld.pricegrabber.com/sear...asterid=517943

Maybe you could get them to work.

Hmm... if the deck is a pioneer you could buy the thumber remote, or whatever they call it. As for the radio on till door open, I'm sure the relay assembly from a GM vehicle would adapt to our cars.
