Check Out What I WON!
I was at a the "World of Wheels" car show in Minneapolis Minnesota April 9th and entered my name in a drawing from this audio place and when I was leaving I got a call on my cell phone and they told me I won these 12" subwoofers. 
They are 12" OZ Audio Vector 2's. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this company or the quality of their subs

Rep Power: 0 ^^^ HAHAHAHA, what do you run that will compete with any of the JL's, a W7 would hit way harder and cleaner then any other sub on the market right now.

actually, the only thing the Image Dynamics has over the W7 is the higher sensitivity.... If you can afford a W7 I'm sure you can get a nice amp that'll push it really nice, so that really doesn't matter. Also, I don't think the ID can move like a W7. The Brama, I don't know anything about so I'm not sure if its better or not, but between the ID and W7, I would say the jl IS A BETTER OVERALL SUB.

Rep Power: 0 I can tell ya plenty but I stay short. The company resides in florida and those are the bottom line of there subs and all I say is I had the matrix series 12"s. they had the lowest resnant frequency I had ever seen in a 12! They make 2000 rms subs but there lowest line of subs sound good, the highend subs are sick.Free, I'll take um all day! nice win!!

and to answer your question, I don't think its worth the extra 300 dollars for the JL, but there's more than a handfull of people that buy it, even at that outrageous price.

Rep Power: 328 An Alpine TypeX can give a W7 a run for it's money...not quite as smooth but it's a damn fine driver for almost half as much as a W7. I love W7's, and I might get one this summer instead of my four W3v2's but it's not for everyone. It's more of a SQ sub than an SPL, but it hits damn loud. They call it SQL 
It's a great sub, but not the be all and end all of subs that a lot of people think it is.

Yes theres plenty of other subs that will do the job and cost way less than what JL charges, but that doesn't mean JL is junk. Just overpriced.
