I was actually gonna get 2 of the type x's, but ended up buying my kappa perfects....They were just better suited for my needs, and I got a kick *** deal at 125 a pop. BTW, the type X I found them at 299 for one.
BTW mystic, you have to post some pictures of your system man... I bet that **** looks sick.
lol my system doesnt look that impressive...the box is unfinished MDF, as is the amp rack, and my wiring is kind of a mess since it was cold when I did it and I havent had a chance to fix it all up. I can take pics with my camera phone tomorrow though if you really want to see.
for the people dissin jl, you need to think the money isnt just for performance and name, its for quality you pay more because they are built with better materials (not just main parts but every little piece) and they are put together better and i bet they would last longer than 90% of the competition, and i know a guy whos been doing the high end of high end systems and all he uses is jl audio maybe alpine or audiobahn once in a while if the customer likes the looks or something, this guy has done db race-cars that have been over 300k invested.
First of, apline and especially audiobahn should not be included with high end audio, yes alpine has nice decks, but their are better, same with their speakers, audiobahn is blah, just for looks. JL........i am not saying they arent good becuase they definetly are, but there are many better companies to buy a subwoofer from, most which u have probably never even heard of, Resonant Engineering is one...hard to find a sub that will hit harder than there 15" XXX. Want SQ, look into the Magnum D2, Eclipse Titaniums, Sound Intergrity and etc..
^^^ i said he only uses them when the customers request them, he wouldnt make money if he said no. and eclipse titaniums i have heard of i have an eclipse deck (some kid the other day had an argument that eclipse is crapier than kenwood) but i had been told that eclipse had subs that were about at the same level as jl, and my w3's were free so oh well

All of you are stupid for arguing about subs. It's all about preference, what YOU think sounds best, and what works best with your system, please don't criticize someone for liking a specific product.
