CompuStar Remote Problem

Not sure if this is the right section so feel free to move it

My CompuStar 2WFMR remote has stoped making sounds. Usually when I arm/disarm or when the alarm or knock sensor goes off, the remote beeps but now the beeping is almost silent. I have to put the remote to my ear in order to hear the beeping and even when I do that, I can still barely hear it. Does anyone know if there is a way to fix this problem without replacing the remote? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance

I can run it by my alarm guys but it might be a few days. They are a athorized cstar dealer. Also if you have to replace it I would go with the upgrade(I was told) you can buy a 130 dollar remote and ant. and it will go 1.25 miles. When mine wears out I am goin that route!

Did you try changing the batteries in the remote?

Hey Jeff, I got mine installed last June at Lockdown. If worse comes to worse, i can give Lockdown my reciet and get them to replace it. Does it matter where I bought the alarm from? cuz if so, i'll have to bring it to Lockdown i guess and if they cant do anything about it, ill swing by your shop.

Replacement is most likely the only way. I have replaced a few for some of my cutomers too... I've seen the flickering issue a couple of times but not the low volume.
Take it back to the original shop they should be able to replace it under warranty.. I do mine after one year.
