Fiberglass, 1/2" MDF and Suede. I couldn't use 3/4" because of the weight so I just braced the hell out of the box.

damn that stuff looks like
litle pricey for me though, I think I am just going to use trunk liner
however maybe not, because my install budget is going to be taken care of

Anyway, the bass is a perfect complement to the rest of the system and it'll give ya a nice shot in the spine with the right song.

dude looks amazing, im doing the same thing only im further behind in progress. (not doing amp in floor but on back of box). two questions though,
1. are the subs screwed onto that piece or does that piece slip over the subs and screw onto the box?
2. as someone else asked what is the L, W, H, of your box and is it sealed in the middle like two sepereate boxes or just braced with a hole cut out so they share the one box.
too bad the carpet doesnt match perfect but it looks nice!

It's funny you should say that, I was having a serious brain fart earlier and was trying to remember what that plexiglass alternative is (Lexan), kept wanting to call it Luan which I know is wood. HAHA. Good call, Lexan. I won't forget that again. Yeah that's the next step. I may even start that tomorrow. Anyone have a better experience with any particular neons over another?

came out pretty clean dude. like i said b4 ur drivers are too close to the floor, thats about 5/8"-3/4" off of the floor there. itd look perfect if it was off the floor about 2-3 more inches above the floor. looks very unproportional w/ the spacings, IMO. btw, no offense but thats how i feel.
how does it sound? dry-->>tuned--->>boomy????

It sounds awesome, its tight and punchy as hell. It hits low for a 10 too. I can switch from Biggie to Hatebreed and it transitions nicely. I don't miss the lows on Biggie and Hatebreed kicks me in the spine.

In the future, I was going to look into putting little pieces of the same carpet I used on the vanity boards on the trunk walls too. SO its all perfect.
Newest progress. Nearly done now. All that's left is to carpet below the window - I'm not sure if I'm gonna do it the same color as the floor or If I'll go blue or something, and then wire up the neons. I need to get a better picture when the sub isn't casting shadows though.
