Question for those with XM or Sirius Satellite...
Is it possible to have that wired into my 2004 stock system on my civic? I've already got the in dash CD changer. Would I be able to have an audio place do that or would I have to resort to using an FM transmitter?

If you don't have an AUX input, (as far as I know a stock unit would not) Your only option is to input through an FM Modulator and you would recieve the input via the FM tuner section of you system.

They are usually a dedicated input with control and audio all in one connector.
In theory an FM modulator should work perfect so not sure what the problem is. Could be some products are better (and more $$) than others or maybe they were not hooked up correctly. FM modulation systems have been around a long time. Maybe you could find someone you know or a installer that has one you could listen to.
Good luck,

There IS an input on the back of your radio, but it is being used by your 6-disk changer. Unless the 6-disk has an input in it for daisy chaining OEM add-ons, you are stuck with FM modulation, which usually doesnt sound too good.
Either you can't have both, or there is a port for daisy chaining. If there is, then the adapter that some company sells (I have no idea, but it's been posted on here, if you search you will find it) should work just fine.

Rob - you'll generally find that Honda will try to discourage you from trying to blend in aftermarket equipment with stock components. Your better long term solution would be to get an aftermarket HU with additional inputs.

He could always keep the stock unit and get a MyFi and run it that way...I just got mine and there's a list of 3 or 4 different explanations for how to make it work in the car. MyFi comes with a tapedeck adapter and an FM setup. If you're intent on keeping the stock deck (why I'd have no clue, but separate issue) then do what it takes to get the signal into the car. I went all new HU and speakers when I converted to satellite.
