sub box

hey guys, i did the diy sub box for removing the spare and i need to tune the box, would this be the best way? it has to be 5.75 inches deep, thats all the room i have

do you know the vol youll need? if its big then you might have to fiberglass the space to benefit the sub(s).

that's the volume i need, originally it was 20"x12.5x7.75, but i onle have 5.75 deep, so it all adds up to the same volume

I don't quite understand the question.

20x12.5x7.75 is 1.1212 ft^3 [external volume, dunno wood thickness used or driver displacement]

22x12.5x5.75 is .9150 ft^3 [again, external]

Externally, that's almost 20% smaller.
