My questions are probably pretty stupid, but I've never done an install before, and I plan to do it in another couple of weeks. I'm just trying to tie up the loose ends...
I've got a question about where I plug the RCAs into my HU. I have attached a diagram of my HU inputs. I have a 300/4 JL amp so I will be powering all 4 (compent fronts and 6x9 rears) of my speakers with it. I don't plan to use the amp built into the HU at all. Do I just plug the RCAs into the set called "non-fader output terminal"? Will I still be able to control the fade from the HU if I do that?
Also I bought a harness with my new HU. Do I just connect all those wires to the ends coming out of my HU? Should I use the crimp on butt connectors or should I solder those connections? I assume the harness wires will match up to what I see in this diagram, right? Once that is done I should just be able to plug the HU right into the factory harness, correct?
Thanks for all the help so far. you all have been great.

Yes that should be the right place to connect your Amp.
I think that means you won't be able to fade i.e. *fading the sound from front to back?*. I am not totally familiar with these receviers so have someone else answer this one for you.
You can crimp, twist, solder, tape, whichever you wanna do. Just remember the better the connection, the less likely you will have a problem with wires disconnecting and the better quality. Soldering will work if you can do that, crimping will also work for agood connection.

You should have front and rear outputs as well. All go to the amp except the non fading output in your case since you are using a 4ch amp

Yeah, like he said above, the No Fading output is made for the subwoofer, so it stays the same regardless of how you fade the rear to front.
You need to run the RCAs from Grey [Front speakers] and Black [Rear speakers] to the amplifier.
I believe you have the wiring harness part right. The harness should be made to plug into the car. You use that to connect to the HU's wires.
